HITCH by Kathryn Hind has won the 2020 Society of Authors Betty Trask Prize, which celebrates first novels written by authors under the age of 35 in a traditional or romantic, but not experimental, style.

Past winners include Zadie Smith, Evie Wyld, Elliot Perlman, Chloe Hooper and Sophie Mackintosh.

Previously, HITCH won the 2018 Penguin Literary Prize.
