European rights to Cathryn Free’s beautiful YA love story keep selling!

First of all, the Italian rights were pre-empted by Mondadori right before the Bologna Book Fair in April. Then, Pocket Jeunesse came out ahead in the French auction with a two-book deal. The UK rights were won by Pan Macmillan shortly thereafter, and now Spanish rights (again for two books) have gone to Planeta Grupo after a spirited auction.

There are a few more rights still on the table in our territories, so we’ll be auctioning the Brazilian rights next week before giving the Portuguese and Dutch publishers their turn.

PS: North American rights are with Macmillan imprint Feiwel and Friends, with publication planned for spring 2027, and German rights went to Fischer Verlag (also part of the Macmillan family).
