The Italian edition of Anya’s Ghost by Vera Brosgol has won the “Scelte di classe” (“Class choices”) award in the category 11-13 year old readers. This prize is a school initiative in which the pupils are asked to elect their favorite books. 

The award was given “Because it’s a captivating, modern tale, with hip, sometimes rebellious language. Diversity, in today’s schools world, is an excuse for those who fit in easily to point a finger at those who don’t, but Anya, who IS different, will find her way and defeat her own ghosts.”
